What is United We Serve?
United We Serve (UWS) is a faith-based, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 34-2005253) that has supported military service members, veterans and their families for over 17 years. It is run by a military family and provides healing retreats, counseling and crisis care at Shepherd’s Pasture Retreat Center in East Texas.
Who can attend a United We Serve retreat?
Retreats serve active-duty service members, veterans and their families. Each retreat is tailored to the specific needs of the participants, with programs focused on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other service-related reintegration issues.
Where is Shepherd’s Pasture Retreat Center?
Shepherd’s Pasture sits on 24 acres of piney woods, streams, trails and pasture land in East Texas, about 30 miles from Marshall, TX, 35 miles from Texarkana, TX and 45 miles from Shreveport, LA.
